Bobby Blind's Wedding

Aunt Sadie sent me these photos for Bobby's wedding a few weeks ago and I'm sorry that I'm barely getting them published now. It's been sort of hectic around here!! Some days I don't even get to turn the computer on, let alone sit down at it and work something out. However, we send Bobby & Lisa a BIG congratulations on their nuptials! Welcome, welcome, welcome! (And, btw, we're so glad he was smart and married a red-head!!)

Ryan, Bobby, & Katie -- "together again!"

Ryan looks stunning in his tux, but there's something to be said about a man in uniform too!

Lisa & Bobby Blind!! Elegant and simply stunning.

Bob, Lisa, Bobby, & Sadie...she *finally* has a daughter-in-law!!

Falling Leaves in Boston

Holly sent me some breathtaking photos today to post for all to see--she referred to it correctly as "God's Canvas." I'm totally jealous that she's able to walk outside and see leaves falling, color changing, and the clear indication that "fall is in the air," as it reminds me of growing up in Illinois. Fall in AZ is not near as pretty (in my opinion), but I do have a  new outlook on the cotton that is defoliated. When the bolls open up and the fields look like they're covered in snow, that's when fall has officially arrived here. Well, that, and the cotton pickers, module builders, and gins are in full-swing (they most certainly are)! Enjoy and thanks Holly for sharing with us!

Beautiful Golds

Just look @ those reds and oranges!!

Leaves on a bridge...

Falling leaves landing on the water...how serene

Love, love, love seeing that red dusting mixed in w/ greens!

Amazing some aren't as changed as others.

My personal favorite!

First Post!

Hello AZ Upton's! This is the first of many to come posts. During the family reunion last month, Aunt Judy requested that we start a family blog/website and here it is. You may want to share this address w/ all who are in your address book that may be somewhere connected to the Pima Arizona Upton's. Fortunately, that label was NOT already taken and I snatched it up on your behalf. Please feel free to contact me @ akf_98@yahoo.com with family updates and pictures to post...after all that's why we are doing this, so we can all be connected. Latt, Pam, and myself might just be the last three people on the planet who do not have Facebook and we cannot, therefore, stay as connected to you as we'd like, but now we can!

Also! Please mark in your minds, phones, and/or calendars that the FINAL FULL WEEKEND of September from now on will be our "official" Upton Family Reunion time. This will help people to hopefully schedule things around it and be able to ensure the best attendance as possible.

To start this post off with, I'm going to include some wonderful photos that Stephanie sent last week when Trevor departed on his mission. He's been gone only five whole days, but I bet to the Espinoza's it feels like an eternity!

Trevor, the recently married Derek & Elena, with baby Lila...I hope that's spelled right!

Trevor & Arnold having one last goodbye...obviously mom was too teary-eyed to be in front of the camera!

I also wanted to quickly post the website for Stella Minton Upton's letters that have been donated to the Western Kentucky University. These are such a treasure. A special thanks to Nanny for having the insight to save them and to Larry for transcribing them! http://digitalcommons.wku.edu/dlsc_mss_fin_aid/3159/
